Point a phone at a picture. Watch it come alive.

pic2vdo turns any printed image into a video screen. No app to download, no QR-code trick, no special ink. Just a phone's own camera and a picture that was already there.

For publishers, out-of-home owners and agencies who sell printed advertising, and the brands that run it.

Works on any modern iPhone or Android phone, right in the browser.

The problem

Print doesn't talk back.

A poster, a print ad, a shelf sign, a leaflet, a museum placard: all of them do their job once, silently, and then just sit there. Nobody knows how many people actually looked. Nobody can ask the viewer for anything back. And a static image, however well designed, can only ever say one thing.

Digital screens fix some of this, but they are expensive, fixed in place, and still do not know who is watching or what they want.

Everyone already has the one device that could fix all of it, in their pocket, all the time: their phone.

Infinite possibilities: if it is printed, it can play. A poster, a pack, a ticket, a menu, a map, a placard, a page. The list of things pic2vdo can turn into a screen does not really end.

The solution

The bridge between print and digital.

Print lives in the physical world: on a wall, a shelf, a table, a street corner. The response you actually want lives online: the video, the offer, the sign-up, the measurement.

pic2vdo is the join between the two. The printed piece stays exactly what it is. For the few seconds a phone is pointed at it, it becomes a doorway to everything the paper itself could never hold.

How it works

Four steps. No app. No download.

  1. 1

    Scan

Open a link, or scan a QR code, with the phone's own camera or browser. Nothing to install.

  2. 2

    Recognize

Point the camera at the real image. pic2vdo recognizes the actual printed artwork itself, using a mathematical image-matching method, not AI. No special code or marker is hidden in the design.

  3. 3

    Watch

A video plays directly over the image in real time, locked onto it and tracking it as the phone moves, tilts, or gets closer.

  4. 4

    Respond (optional)

After the video, an optional prompt can invite the viewer to do something: claim an offer, enter a draw, leave their details. A glance becomes a real, capturable moment of interest.

One image, many videos

A single target can carry several different overlay videos, shown with a chosen probability, so a poster that gets scanned repeatedly stays worth a second, third, or tenth look.

One printed target image linked to several different overlay videos

Works best on flat, non-glossy artwork today: posters, print ads, labels, packaging faces.

See it happen

This is what the user sees

One phone, one printed poster, no app installed. The video is locked onto the artwork and stays on it as the phone moves, tilts, or gets closer.

pic2vdo is white-labeled for the agency that offers it: your name and logo, not ours, are what your clients see. One QR code or link, printed once, keeps working no matter how your campaigns change underneath it.

Behind that one link is a real dashboard, not a spreadsheet.

And the dashboard exists mostly to answer one question print never could: did it work? Every campaign is measured, so you always know who engaged and what they did next.

  • Campaigns with a clear start and end date, switching on and off automatically with no gap between one and the next.
  • Team access that matches the job: Admin, Manager, Creative and Accounting roles, so people only touch what their work needs.
  • Upload target images and overlay videos yourself, in minutes, with no developer involved.
  • Analytics you can actually read: how many people engaged, how much of each video they watched, and how well each call-to-action converted, as clean charts rather than raw numbers.
  • Every response captured: an offer claimed, a form filled in, an entry submitted, ready to review or export.

Dashboard analytics view with engagement charts

Measure it: engagement, watch time and conversion, per campaign.

What it costs

Two parts, and only two.

No setup fee, no per-seat charge, no long lock-in. The cost has exactly two components, and one of them only grows when the campaigns are actually working.

Fixed

Monthly platform fee

A flat monthly amount for access to the platform: the white-labeled dashboard, unlimited campaigns and targets, every user role, and the analytics. The same whether you run one campaign or fifty.

Variable

Pay per scan

On top of that, a small amount each time a viewer points a phone at a target and the video actually plays. No scan, no charge. Your cost follows real engagement instead of a number guessed up front.

No figures are shown here on purpose. Talk to us for the current platform fee and per-scan rate.

White-label

Your brand on the front.

The looks on the right are all about the launch screen, the first thing a viewer sees the moment the AR experience opens on their phone: whose logo is shown, and whether the pic2vdo mark appears underneath it.

  • Typeform, Tally or a similar form connected straight to the engagement prompt, at no extra cost, so responses land where your client already works.
  • The brand's own web address shown on the campaign link, in place of pic2vdo.com, also at no extra cost.
  • Your logo and colours across the loading screen, the dashboard and the engagement prompts.
  • Emails to your clients from your address, and your name on the support contact.

A brand served under its own address:

The launch-screen looks are where a fee can come in. The default costs nothing; the looks that put the brand's own logo on screen, or drop the pic2vdo mark entirely, each carry a separate charge. Talk to us for which is which.

Who it's for

Built for the people who sell print, not just print it.

pic2vdo is a product an Agency sells on: a publisher, an out-of-home owner or an agency that already places printed advertising and wants a measurable, interactive layer on top of it.

Primary

Publishers & out-of-home owners

Magazines, newspapers, free-sheets, transit and billboard operators. You sell ad space and need to show it works. pic2vdo adds a video layer and hard engagement numbers to inventory you already sell, under your own brand.

Primary

Creative, media & experiential agencies

You plan print, OOH or packaging campaigns for clients. pic2vdo is white-labeled as your own product: build and schedule campaigns yourself in minutes, then hand the client back analytics and captured leads.

Secondary

Brands with heavy print or retail presence

Running it in-house on your own posters, shelf displays and packs. It works the same way: you are the Agency for your own campaigns.

Talk to us

Less of a fit if you have a single poster for a one-off event, no campaign cadence, or an audience that never sees anything printed.

Anywhere something is printed.

Print & out-of-home

A magazine ad or billboard that plays a video, not just a picture.

Retail & point-of-sale

Shelf displays and in-store posters that demo the product, run a promotion, or hand out a discount.

Product packaging

Cans, bottles, boxes that play a recipe, a story, or instructions the moment they are scanned.

Real estate & property

A yard sign or window flyer that plays the full walkthrough, not just a photo.

Museums & galleries

A placard next to a painting or exhibit that plays its real story, narrated, on demand.

Bookstores

A book on a shelf that plays its trailer or an author interview.

Events & hospitality

Tickets, badges, and programs that unlock video content and schedules.

Industrial: safety & training

A factory-floor or warehouse sign that plays the exact, approved instructional video for that step. Not "whatever a worker finds online".
